Emma recently graduated from the Starmark Academy, receiving her certificate of Canine Training and Behavior Specialist. We are so excited to have her join our team and can’t wait to see the difference she is going to make in so many lives, both human and dog.

First Steps

This class is perfect for those looking to teach their dog the skills to be a well mannered pup in everyday life. The class covers loose leash walking, introducing recall, place, and effective communication between owner and dog. This class is 7 consecutive weeks long and welcomes 8 dogs per class.

For those of you who completed our first steps class and are looking to build and refine your skills. This class is 6 consecutive weeks long and welcomes 6 dogs per class.
Junior Handler

This class is tailored to kids ages 7-14 who want to do something fun with their dog. Parents are required to stay with their children for this class. It covers communication between people and dogs using a clicker, learning fun tricks and completing obstacle courses. This class is 6 consecutive weeks long and welcomes 6 junior handlers.

This program is designed to help dogs and their handlers build reliable, real-world skills by practicing in a variety of environments. Instead of training in the same familiar space, this program rotates through different parks, giving dogs the opportunity to generalize their training and respond consistently despite new sights, sounds, and distractions.
