Helping Hounds Purchases new facility and

prepares to raise costs for renovations.

DeWitt, NY, February 27, 2019– Helping Hounds Dog Rescue is excited to share the news that the non-profit has purchased a new facility.  “After several months of searching, we are excited to announce that we have found our new home,” said Helping Hounds Dog Rescue (HHDR) Executive Director Kathy Gilmour.  “Once renovated, this new facility will allow us the space we require to perform more of the life-saving services we’ve brought into this community for the past 10 years.”

The new facility is located at 7268 Caswell Street in North Syracuse.  “In addition to our successful adoption program,” Gilmour added, “we will now be able to add additional services to our community including animal welfare services, do training and humane education programs.”

With the purchase of this facility, HHDR is launching a campaign to raise $1.2 million for renovations of the new location.  As part of the campaign, several Naming Opportunities will be available for individuals and businesses to show support of the organization’s mission and future.

Helping Hounds Dog Rescue (HHDR) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization funded by donations, fundraisers and adoption fees, that works to find forever homes in the Central New York area for rescue dogs.  HHDR has earned the Better Business Bureau’s Accreditation and offers a Donor Safeguard Policy to all who provide contributions of any value.

HHDR provides a compassionate approach to dog rescue by matching homeless dogs from overcrowded shelter systems with loving homes.  Their team of dedicated staff is well supported by an army of more than 300 volunteers and as a result they are able to successfully place over 1,700 dogs annually into loving homes.
