HHDR 2025 in review

We look back on 2025 with gratitude for every dog saved, every life changed and for every person that stood by us making it all possible.

The year wasn’t easy. Rescue never is. Please take a moment and enjoy this video, reflecting on what we accomplished together and the challenges facing us in 2026. Expenses are rising in a world that continues to see a decline in adoption, a contraction of donations and an increase in requests to help a dog that can no longer stay with his family. We are planning and preparing, but we cannot do it without you.

If you believe, like we do, that when many people give even a little, amazing things happen then please join us. That is the power of the pack and we need you more than ever to become part of it. Your donation becomes food in bowls, warm beds and medical care. It brings stability and the certainty that we can keep our doors open and our promises kept for every dog that needs us and for the people who love them who sometimes struggle right alongside them.
